API Terms of Service
Effective: Last updated 2026-09-19 · Version: 2026-09-19
1. Keys and responsibility
API keys belong to a workspace and inherit that workspace's plan, limits, and permissions. Anything done with your key is done by you. Keep keys secret: do not put them in client-side code, public repositories, or shared documents. Rotate a key immediately if you think it has leaked; you can do that from the API settings in your workspace once keys are issued, and we may rotate or revoke a key ourselves if we see it abused.
2. Permitted use
Use the API to move your own workspace's data in and out, to integrate the Service with systems you run, and to build tools for your own business. Any product you offer to others that is built on the API must have its own terms and privacy notice, must not present itself as Tomonagi, and must not use our name or marks without written permission.
3. Limits and good behavior
Rate limits apply per key and are returned in response headers. Back off when you receive a 429. Do not poll for changes more often than your use case needs; use webhooks where available. Bulk operations that would strain the platform should be discussed with us first. The Acceptable Use Policy and the Anti-Spam & Messaging Policy apply to everything you do through the API exactly as they do in the app.
4. Data you receive
Data returned by the API is your workspace's data, subject to the same obligations you have for it in the app, including the Data Processing Addendum. Do not retain personal data from the API longer than you need it for the purpose you retrieved it for.
5. Versions and changes
We version the API. We will give at least 90 days' notice before retiring a version, except where a security issue forces a faster change. Additive changes (new fields, new endpoints) may happen without notice and your integration should tolerate them.
6. Warranty and liability
The API is provided under the same disclaimers and limitation of liability as the Service in the Terms of Service. During any period in which access is labeled beta, the Beta & Early-Access Terms also apply.
